Meet the founder
Reading the room is only the beginning.
Luka Miller is the founder and Event Experience Director of Icon Events. His work combines open-format DJ performance, confident MC hosting, event production, lighting design and detailed show flow into one cohesive guest experience.
After thousands of live events, Luka understands that the smallest choices often shape the biggest moments. The right song, a well-timed introduction, clean ceremony audio or a quiet adjustment behind the scenes can change how an entire room feels.
Icon Events began in 1998 and was formally registered in 2014. It developed into a boutique entertainment and production company for clients who value preparation, collaboration and a highly personal level of care.

Luka remains selective because every event carries someone’s name, reputation and memories. The work begins with listening, continues through careful planning and is delivered with the judgment to adapt naturally when the room changes.

Global experience
Since 2022, Luka has worked as a Guest DJ and Entertainment Artist with Celebrity Cruises. His experience also includes the MBLV DJ Takeover and official Las Vegas nightlife after-parties for audiences reaching approximately 2,500, resort performances and confidential high-profile events across Canada and abroad.
Industry leadership
As National President of the Canadian Disc Jockey Association from 2022 to 2023, Luka supported professional education, ethical business practices and stronger industry standards. He previously served as National Vice President and Niagara Regional President.
Hospitality and education
His background includes years of entertainment programming aboard Toronto’s premier event cruise fleets and more than two decades as an educator. Both environments strengthened the calm communication, inclusion and real-time decision-making he brings to live events.

Luka’s experience extends beyond music. He works across show flow, ceremony audio, professional sound, lighting and DMX control, video DJ systems, vendor coordination and live-event troubleshooting. Through Icon Events, he also provides commercial AV consulting and installation support, representing professional audio solutions from K-Array and Proel.
